Confusing Cubism in 5th Grade
5th grade started the year off learning about Cubism and Cubist artists such as Picasso. Each fifth grader did 2 still life drawings of a bowl with fruit; one while standing up and one while sitting down. Each picture showed a different angle of the still life. Then, we cut up each picture using the same lines in the same places. We then had two puzzles to put back together. We mixed up the pieces and placed them back as one picture (hard to explain, harder to do!) 5th grade did an awesome job with these wonderful Cubist pieces!
