Louise Nevelson inspired our final 5th grade project. Nevelson is a sculptor who creates monochromatic 3-D sculptures, which is exactly what these 5th graders did! The supplies for this project included 'dead' supplies (dried up markers, empty glue bottles) and toys that were left behind throughout the year. We glued all the objects into a tissue box using Elmer's and hot glue. When everyone was ready, we took the projects outside and spray painted them all one color.
