Hundertwasser Flowers

3rd grade has been talking about realistic and abstract art throughout the year. For this project, we looked at Hundertwasser's abstract flowers and some pictures of realistic flowers and discussed the differences and similarities. the 3rd graders first painted a background using their opposite hand (we got some great shapes and lines!) then we cut out our flowers and used various colors of construction paper to add some depth to the flowers. Overall they turned out great! Lovely flowers, 3rd Grade.
